Okay- Reality Check …

Are you thinking about the FUTURE?

This school year you may be one of those parents that enrolls their child in basketball, baseball, soccer, and many other sports, through your Recreation Department and in junior and high school. You and your child will attend MANY, MANY different sports sessions with different quality coaches and trainers.

Your child will not take Tae Kwon Do because it usually requires focus and a longer term commitment than the typical THREE MONTHS of, for example, little league baseball.

Now …

ask yourself this: How many of the "athletes" your child "competed" with will be able to take his "recreation" or even his high school training and experience into a scholarship, or national college-level competition?  Yes, there is a 1 in 100,000 chance of a scholarship and/or national competition.

With Tae Kwon Do, your child can join a College Team or Club, and go on to compete in National Collegiate Tournaments, some are qualifiers for the Olympic Trials! Chances for Tae Kwon Do collegiate teams and competition are far greater than his/her chances of making the college basketball team. Yes, there are competitions at the college level, with some schools even offering Tae Kwon Do Scholarships!

So, go ahead, get involved in every single seasonal sport out there, stay out of focus, and hope for the best in some sport…..

The following colleges and universities have Tae Kwon Do Teams:
